Help Us Build a School for Girls in Uganda

Hi, my name is Emmeline and my Grandmother Kaye and I would like to introduce Sandra, she is chosen family to us and one powerhouse of a young woman we've had years of being inspired by. Her constant pursuit to make change in her own village one project and child at a time bring more and more support around her. My Grandmother lives in Uganda with Sandra's family and our networking together has shown the beginning of what impact we are all capable of when coming together.

Sandra is the founder of Girls Arise Uganda, a grassroots organization that has empowered over 3,800 schoolgirls since 2018 through access to menstrual hygiene, mentorship, and

education support.

Today, we are putting together a combined ask of many of our friends and family members for your help the push to finish the building of the new village school, the first year of the girls feminine products to help provide what is needed to keep them in full time school as well as helping with funding a community pool to help with some of the kids tuition, school supplies and bikes to get to and from when coming the distance to learn.

Why This School Matters

In Uganda, many girls drop out of school due to poverty, early marriage, and the stigma surrounding

menstruation. Some walk long distances to reach the nearest school. Others stay home every month due to

lack of sanitary products. Many never return.

At Girls Arise, we believe no girl should miss school because she is a girl. That’s why we’re building

the Girls Arise School, a safe, inclusive, and empowering space where girls ( and boys) can access

quality education, mentorship, and support without shame or fear.

How Far We’ve Come

Thanks to generous support from friends and well-wishers, we’ve:

✅ Secured 2 acres of land

✅ Completed construction up to the window purchase and install

✅ Mobilized a passionate local team and community support

We’ve come so far — but we’re not done yet.

What We Need

We are raising $6,500 to:

 Finish the classrooms

 Install doors, windows, and flooring

 Furnish the school with desks, chairs, blackboards, and learning materials
