Hello, my name is De’Lishia Berry-Glass.

I am an author, creative entrepreneur, and community advocate with a lifelong passion for storytelling, literacy, and creating inclusive spaces for families and youth. Through my work in children’s literature, dance, and arts programming, I’ve spent decades serving my community—using creativity as a tool to inspire confidence, learning, and connection.

Today, I am taking a meaningful step forward by launching the next phase of my publishing journey and establishing a temporary creative space to bring these stories to life.

Why I Created This GoFundMe

I have created this GoFundMe campaign to raise $20,000 to support the startup costs for publishing my children’s books and to cover the first three months of rent for a temporary creative and administrative space, and transportation for after school program. This space will serve as the foundation for writing, organizing, packaging, and preparing books and educational materials for families, schools, and community events.

Publishing children’s books—especially independently—comes with upfront expenses such as professional printing, formatting, ISBN registration, illustration preparation, and distribution materials. In addition, having a dedicated workspace will allow me to operate more efficiently, host small planning sessions, and continue developing literacy-centered programs that uplift children and families.
