Help OP NJROTC go to Navy Nationals
Donation protected
This is the second consecutive year that the Navy JROTC unit at Osbourn Park Sr. H.S. in Manassas, Virginia, has qualified through Area (regional) competition to compete with the top 30 NJROTC teams in the Nation, 6-7 April, in Pensacola, FL. OP's NJROTC was the first NJROTC unit from Northern Virginia to compete in the Navy Nationals since Navy Nationals started 20 years ago...
For those of you who have compared Osbourn Park’s JROTC program with other programs in the area, you will find that OP’s JROTC program is extremely active! Chief and I are working hard to ensure that the program continues the tradition of providing a wide variety of activities that are challenging as well as fun. All of our activities provide leadership opportunities, build teamwork and camaraderie. We are a non-profit organization and while we do receive money from the Navy for uniforms and classroom material, ALL of the unit’s extra-curricular student activities are accomplished through unit fundraising for PWCS bus transportation, school facilities use, as well as the equipment needed to support our Athletics, Academics, Air Rifle, Drill, Cyber Patriot and Orienteering teams. This continues to be challenging as nearly all of the organizations that have helped out every year are finding it difficult to continue to do so. I understand that everyone is finding it challenging, however, rather than sell items that usually raises $1 for every $10 you purchase, 100 percent of the donation goes to supporting the myriad of cadet activities- not to over-priced products. We can provide our Federal Tax Identification number upon request for those who would like to itemize for tax purposes… Thank you for your consideration!
