Onyx is my 10-year-old husky, and he’s been a beloved part of our family for years. Recently, when my mom came home, Onyx jumped up to greet her as he always does. But this time, when he landed, he suddenly collapsed and couldn’t stand or walk. It wasn’t a high jump, so we’re worried he may have broken his bones or that there’s an underlying condition causing his legs to give out. Right now, he’s dragging himself and clearly in pain, and my heart is broken seeing him like this.

We’re taking Onyx to the vet to find out what’s wrong, but the costs for his care are overwhelming. Depending on the results, he may need surgery, medications, lab studies, and exams. There’s even a possibility that he may need to be put down if his condition is too severe. All of these expenses add up quickly, and I don’t have the funds to cover them on my own.
