Me and Ajs two-year-old tuxedo cat, Onyx, is facing an emergency surgery due to a blockage in his urethra. This came on suddenly and has been terrifying, and the cost of treatment is more than we can manage alone.

He isn’t just my cat — he’s family. Onyx has always loved other animals and is the only cat I’ve ever had who is instantly gentle and welcoming to every new animal he meets. He plays fetch like a dog, and if he likes what you’re eating, he’ll sit there staring at you while making little chewing noises as if he’s helping. He somehow manages to be both the meanest and the nicest at the same time — full of attitude, but endlessly loving.
