Help Onyeka & Goldbloom get to Series Mania!

Hello wonderful internet people!
We are Onyeka Oduh and Goldbloom Micomonaco, also known as The Kitsch Generation, a queer/trans and BIPOC film collective making films centering authentic and honest narratives featuring our communities and intersections!
The past few years for us in the Canadian film industry have been extremely difficult but we haven't let that stop us! And it seems our persistence and hard work is finally starting to pay off!
We've been invited to be a part of the Series Mania Writers Campus for 2025 in Lille, France, the largest TV series event in Europe. As a part of this program we will have the opportunity to develop and pitch our half-hour television series, Parry, Riposte. A series we've been working on for the past three years, that tells the hilariously awkward and heartfelt story of a trans fencer returning to university Varsity fencing after a year-long sabbatical.
This is an incredible opportunity for us that we see as an invaluable step towards our career goals of becoming showrunners and creators that can bring personal and thoughtful representation of trans and bipoc folks to larger audiences.
But in order to do this, we need your help!
Traveling is expensive but how can you put a price tag on an opportunity?
Well we can! This trip will cost us 5,000 whole Canadian dollars.
And this is where that money will go!
Series Mania Writers Campus Tuition: $2000
Flights (Roundtrip: Toronto - Lille): $1800
Accommodations: $1200
We're really grateful for the support that we've received throughout our careers as filmmakers. We are only able to do what we love because of each and every one of you!
Thank you for taking the time to hear our plea. Please consider donating, and if you're unable to, then please share this fundraiser. Both are extremely appreciated!
Lots of love,
Onyeka Oduh & Goldbloom Micomonaco
