My name is Tori Gonsoulin. My daughter is Onna’ley. She is 16 years old and was in a terrible car accident on the 6th. She had a tear in her aorta, a hematoma on the inside of her intestines, and also one on the outside of her intestines causing a major blockage. She had to have surgery, an exploratory lap, which honestly did nothing to help her. We spent the first 7 days at University Hospital in New Orleans, where the surgery was done and the first NG tube was placed. They mistreated my child and wrongfully sent her home on the 13th. We were back in the hospital on the 14th, where we have stayed since. They scanned her yesterday and said her stomach is twice the normal size, and the hematoma causing the blockage is larger. So they put the NG tube back in. I have been out of work now since the 6th with no exact date on when I will be able to return. I am the sole provider for my family, and this has truly taken its toll on all of us. I normally live paycheck to paycheck to pay our bills, and I don’t even know when I will get another paycheck.
