Help Only Pookie Bakes Keep Going

Hi everyone,
My name is Marissa, and I’m the founder of Only Pookie Bakes — a dessert business that’s so much more than just sweets. It’s my heart, my healing, and my tribute to my father.
My dad passed away in 2014, and it left a hole in my life that words can’t really describe. He was the one who taught me that food isn’t just food — it’s love, it’s comfort, it’s a way to bring people together. I remember being a little girl, cookin’ in the kitchen with my father. He always moved with so much joy and pride, whether he was throwing something together for a family meal or trying a new recipe just to see us smile.
After he passed, I struggled for years to find my purpose and to feel whole again. One day, I realized that the way I could keep his spirit alive was through the thing we shared most: food. That’s when Only Pookie Bakes was born.
I started making pudding desserts as a way to cope with my grief, but it quickly turned into a passion and a business. Every flavor I create is made with love, and every bite is meant to feel like a warm hug — the kind my dad would give me after a long day.
Only Pookie Bakes isn’t just about selling pudding. It’s about sharing a piece of my father’s legacy with the world. It’s about turning pain into purpose and showing my kids that no matter how hard life gets, you can always create something beautiful from it.
Right now, I’m trying to take my business to the next level — to reach more people, to bring my dad’s love to more tables, and to build something lasting for my family. But I can’t do it alone. I’m asking for your help so I can invest in supplies, secure a larger space, and grow this dream that started cookin’ in the kitchen with my father.
Every donation, every share, every word of encouragement means the world to me. You’re not just supporting a small business — you’re helping keep a father’s love alive and helping a daughter turn her grief into something sweet and meaningful.
Thank you for believing in me, in my story, and in Only Pookie Bakes.
