Help Onisoya Achieve His Dream of Becoming a Doctor

Dear Friends,

My name is Onisoya, and I am reaching out with a heartfelt plea for your support to help me continue my journey to become a medical doctor. Medicine has always been my dream and passion, a calling that I have pursued with unwavering determination despite numerous challenges.

In January 2016, I embarked on this journey at one of the esteemed medical schools in the Caribbean, located in the Commonwealth of Dominica. With hard work and dedication, I completed my basic medical sciences in August 2017. My clinical rotations began in May 2018, during which I had the privilege of working in surgery, pediatrics, and family medicine. All three rotations lasting about six months, deepened my understanding and commitment to serving others through medicine. My last rotation in pediatrics ended in February 2020, leaving me with 12 months (four semesters) to complete.

Unfortunately, I have been unable to continue my rotations since then due to financial constraints. My sponsor, my beloved father, has always been my pillar of support. However, after his retirement, he lost a significant portion of his gratuity in an unfortunate investment. This financial setback has made it impossible for him to bear the burden of my medical education any longer.

The journey to becoming a doctor is long and arduous, but it is a path I am committed to walking. I have come so far, and I am determined not to let this setback end my dream. This is why I am humbly reaching out to you, the generous hearts of the general public, to ask for your help.

It can help me complete my remaining rotations, fulfill my dream, and, more importantly, enable me to serve and give back to the community.
