Helping one of our own, Sue Carducci. If you know Sue Carducci at all, you know how generous and kindhearted she is. She has had a full 30-year career of service, first with the US Navy and then with AMCTES for many years. Sue is an avid churchgoer and always grateful for everything the Lord has blessed her with, most significantly, her husband of 34 years, Tom, her daughter, Rachel, and four beautiful granddaughters, who have been a source of tremendous gratitude and enjoyment for her.
During her tenure at AMCTES, Sue was always the first to volunteer to help at any of our squadron functions, and always eager to baby-watch! Sue became very involved with the Mentoring Program at the local elementary school, where she mentored students for over 15 years, creating personal relationships with some of the children and their families that are ongoing still today. On a personal note, Sue has helped me in my time of need. I cannot thank her enough for being there for me when I truly needed support to get me through a medical trauma, and now it’s my turn to be there for her.
Sue retired from AMCTES in June of 2020, her husband retired shortly afterwards in December of 2020. As if navigating in the time of COVID wasn’t difficult enough, her husband became sick immediately following his retirement, and their world was turned upside down. He has daily appointments, which entail traveling back and forth to Philadelphia for his treatments, are very demanding on them. His treaments force them to stay in a hotel close to the hospital several days at a time. This has created an emotional, physical, and monetary strain on them. While I am sure our well wishes will go far to help in terms of the emotional support, I believe now the greatest assistance at this time would be in your donations.
This GoFundMe page is just a small way to provide Sue with some monetary support to help defray some of the cost of lodging, and travel that they are now incurring. Your support and donation will be greatly appreciated by one of our own, a person who has done so much for the squadron over the years, for me personally, and for so many others. Thank you for your generosity and God Bless.
