Hi, my name is Xuni, and I am raising funds to help my father, Omar Trujillo Lopez. He is currently in a detention center and urgently needs legal assistance.

My father is a 42-year-old father and husband who has always worked hard to care for his family. He has been a member of the church since 2006 and has always contributed by working with the church.

Recently, he was detained by ICE on August 22, 2025, in our house. It's been almost 2 months without him. I am devastated by all of this, the pain I feel seeing my father inside that detention center, and seeing my sister feeling that pain for not having our parent with us. The only crime is being here illegally to give us a better future and a better life for me and my sister. My dad always gave us the best. He always ran out of things to give us and never bought anything for himself. Whenever he came home from work, the neighbors would come for favors like cutting the lawn or arranging things inside their house. My dad would always help without receiving anything back. He liked to help the neighbors no matter how tired he was from work. He always blessed them and told them, 'Whenever you need me, just come by our house and I will be there to help you.'

This is a devastating situation on many levels, and our family needs all the support. We, as a family, are going to be working with a specialized immigration lawyer to fight for my dad's freedom.
