I’m starting this GoFundMe for my 19-year-old brother-in-law, Omar, and my 21-year-old sister—two incredibly hardworking and kind people who truly don’t deserve what happened today.

Earlier this afternoon, Omar withdrew $3,500 from the bank to take care of some important personal matters. Moments later, while the cash was in his car, someone broke his window and stole everything. It was a painful and frustrating loss.

Omar and my sister work so hard for every dollar they earn. They never ask for help and try to handle life’s challenges on their own. In fact, Omar has no idea I’m creating this—it’s not in his nature to ask for anything. But I believe that good people deserve good things, and when something unfair like this happens, it’s okay for the community to step in and show support.
