My name is Omar McFarlane. I am the owner of Arc Electric, Inc. I am raising funds to send help to my home country of Jamaica to help with disaster relief for damage caused by Hurricane Melissa.

In the wake of this disaster, any donation will help provide the affected families with food, clothing and non perishable items. All funds raised will go directly to families in Jamaica that were impacted by Hurricane Melissa. All money donated will be personally managed by me. I will be responsible for purchasing food & supplies locally in Jamaica and will also purchase some items in Florida and bring and ship to Jamaica. Money will be transferred into my personal bank account in order to make the necessary food and supplies purchase. We will then distribute these food items into the affected areas. We will work with the parishes to identify the areas that will benefit the most from our contributions. We will put together care packages of diapers, medicines, food and toiletries to distribute. Our goal is to impact 1000 lives. The distribution will continue over the next 6 months as there are still people that are homeless and living in shelters. All funds will be administered by myself and there will no cash given to anyone. All building materials will be provided to homeowners who have lost their roofs or homes. I will do my best to impact lives that have been torn apart and destroyed.
