My name is Nariman Abuhamdeh and I live in Missouri, USA. I met Omar through TikTok and had the opportunity to learn more about him and his family through WhatsApp. I’m sharing Omar’s story because I believe no one should have to lose their home, their education, and their dreams because of circumstances beyond their control. Omar is a hardworking student from Gaza who is trying to continue his education while also helping his family survive an unimaginable time. I hope that by sharing his story, we can help bring Omar and his family some relief, hope, and a chance to rebuild..All donations made through this GoFundMe are processed securely through GoFundMe’s payment system. Once the funds are available, I will safely transfer Omar’s funds through the verified payment method provided for him. I will keep everything transparent and provide updates throughout the process so donors can feel confident that their contributions are being handled responsibly and are intended to reach Omar and his family safely.
Omar is a Software Engineering student from Gaza. At just 21 years old, Omar was supposed to be in his third year of studying software engineering, working toward completing his degree. However, the catastrophe has disrupted his education and prevented him from continuing his studies as planned.
Because of the financial hardships caused by the ongoing situation, Omar is no longer able to afford his tuition fees, forcing him to put his education on hold. His dream is to finish his degree, continue building his skills, and create a better future through education. With your support, he hopes to overcome these challenges and continue pursuing his goals. Before the catastrophe, his family’s life was modest but peaceful. They had a home, a place where they felt safe, and dreams that gave them strength. Today, that home has been completely destroyed, and with it they lost their belongings, memories, and the life they spent years building. Omar and his family are now displaced and living in a tent, where every day is a struggle to meet even the most basic needs. On top of that, Omar has been unable to afford his overdue university tuition and has been prevented from taking his exams. Despite everything, he has not given up on his education or his hope for a better future.
Your support will help Omar pay his overdue tuition, support his family with essential daily needs, and begin rebuilding their lives after losing their home. Every donation matters, no matter how small, and if you are unable to give, sharing this fundraiser would mean so much. Your kindness is more than financial help. It is hope for Omar’s family, a future for his education, and a chance to start over.
