Hi, my name is Rosa, and I’m fundraising for my brother-in-law, Omar Ashby. Omar has had a long journey with Lymphedema, which has ultimately caused him to stop working. In addition, he has several chronic medical issues, making it even more challenging to keep working. A few weeks ago, Omar was rushed to the hospital and was told he had Respiratory failure, it was later determined Omar needed help with oxygen, and a CPAP was provided to him. Omar has always worked to support himself and his children, and though his two older kids are now older, he’s still taking care of his youngest son, who’s 16 years old.

Omar has filed short-term disability through work, but it has yet to be approved, and every day that goes by, it's making it harder to stay on top of his expenses. In addition, he has to take a very expensive medication that is not fully covered by medical insurance. This medicine alone is close to $550.00, and he must take it monthly until he recovers or has a better understanding of his condition.

I am trying to help my brother-in-law by giving him a little extra time to get back on his feet to pay his expenses and avoid eviction and disconnection of his utilities and food for him and his son. So please help us by helping Omar provide for him and his son.
