My name is Omar, and I live in the middle area of the Gaza Strip. For the past 11 months, Gaza has been under relentless attack by the Israeli military, leading to the deaths of thousands of civilians, the destruction of homes, schools, hospitals, and infrastructure, and leaving us without essential services like water, electricity, and medical supplies.

The Current Crisis

I have witnessed all previous aggressions and wars in Gaza, but this one is the most devastating. Living in the middle area, I face constant bombardment every day and night. I have lost many family members, friends, and neighbors in this brutal assault. My job and dreams have all been destroyed.

There is no hope for the future in Gaza. We lack peace, justice, security, freedom, dignity, opportunities, education, health, and even life itself. I desperately want to escape from this hell and start a new life somewhere safe, where I can work, study, and live with peace and dignity.

Deteriorating Health Conditions

In addition to the bombing and destruction, we are suffering from severe health conditions. Outbreaks of dangerous epidemics and viruses have become common due to the lack of a functional health system and clean drinking water. Hospitals and health facilities lack basic tools and medicines, leaving us vulnerable to deadly diseases without any means of treatment.

The Danger of Staying in Gaza

Staying in Gaza is not just dangerous due to the ongoing war, but also because of the lack of income sources and job opportunities. The blockade and constant conflict have led to an economic collapse, making it nearly impossible to find work. Even if goods are available, the cost of living is extremely high, placing basic necessities out of reach for most people. The uncertainty and insecurity make it impossible to plan for any future here.

Why Your Help is Crucial

To make this dream a reality, I need to raise enough money to pay for a visa, a flight ticket, and basic living costs in a safe country. The borders are closed and controlled by Israel and Egypt, and the collapsed economy in Gaza offers no job opportunities or aid.

Time is running out. Every day, I live in fear of being killed or injured by the next bomb or rocket. I see the blood and tears of my people, who have suffered so much and deserve so much better. I pray for a miracle to end this nightmare. My neighborhood is targeted frequently, and all around me, houses are bombed. I don’t want to be another statistic, another victim, another martyr. I want to live. I want to see the world, learn new things, meet new people, have a family, and have a future.
