Help om terug naar Canada te gaan

Dear Friends
With pain in my heart I am asking for your help.

Our son, Lionel, unexpectedly has been hospitalized since mid-April 2021 due to Covid-19 complications. He has been in a coma, and stayed in ICU's at three different hospitals, and has recently been transferred to Bridgepoint Active Healthcare where he gradually is recovering. They are helping him with  recovery in regards to physio, speech therapy, learning how to swallow, etc. As parents we want to be able to move back to Canada from the Netherlands in order to be with him and to help our daughter who patiently visits him. He will need lots of care after recovery, so we want to move back as fast as possible in order to be with him.

I will keep you posted on his progress.

Met pijn in mijn hart plaats ik deze oproep.

Onze zoon Lionel ligt onverwachts sinds half April in het ziekenhuis in Canada vanwege complicaties van Covid-19. Hij was in a coma op de IC in drie verschillende ziekenhuizen en is sinds kort overgeplaatst naar Bridgepoint Active Healthcare waar hij langzamerhand aan het herstellen is. Daar helpen ze hem  met het revalideren wat betreft physio, het leren praten, leren eten, etc. Als ouders willen we terug naar Canada om bij hem te zijn en om hem en dochter te helpen met de nazorg die hij nodig heeft. Hij heeft heel veel hulp nodig na de herstel en daarvoor willen we terug verhuizen om zo snel mogelijk bij hem zijn.

Ik zal jullie op de hoogte houden van zijn progress.
