In 2019 performers from around the Bay Area came together to form a troupe with this mission in mind: To create a show displaying the talents of Trans and Non-Binary/Gender-Non-Conforming/Gender Expansive performers through Burlesque, Drag, Circus and more.  

Using the very real frustrations of being misgendered, forced to perform binary or not being represented in shows we created Om Nom Nom Non-Binary Burlesque with the intention to showcase performers in all their glory as they want to be. Produced, photographed, and stage managed by folks in the community, we got our very first start in October 2019 when Hubba Hubba Revue welcomed us to their stage for a take-over show.

Before the "stay-at-home" we had a monthly show at Midnight Sun in the Castro of San Francisco called Sunday Splash and had multiple shows at other venues lined up.  Our six-month anniversary show at The Stud, which was going to be so silly and full off sea creatures, was the first show to be cancelled, and since then three more have also been postponed indefinitely.

So why should you support Om Nom Nom's gofundme?  

Good question!  Many of our performers depend on shows for rent, food, and you know, living.  Loosing multiple shows, especially for a new troupe, has been financially hard.  We are hoping to at least make enough money to pay our troupe members who were supposed to perform. 

What's next for Om Nom Nom? If we raise the total $3,000 we will be hosting an online Om Nom Nom show.  Currently we do not have the funds to pay performers to be in a show, but with your help you can see our non-binary finery right at home!
