My name is Joyce, and I’m reaching out on behalf of my uncle, Olusegun Wisdom Edwards, a devoted husband, father, and retired civil servant living in Abuja, Nigeria.
In November 2024, he began experiencing persistent vomiting and discomfort. What was first treated as malaria at the Federal Hospital in Abuja turned out to be far more serious. He was referred to the National Hospital, where he was later diagnosed with chronic kidney failure.
Since then, Uncle Olusegun has been undergoing dialysis twice a week — every Monday and Thursday — just to stay alive. Dialysis is not only physically and emotionally draining, but also financially unsustainable in the long term.
The only permanent solution is a kidney transplant, and time is not on our side.
We are seeking to raise AUD $15,000 (approx. ₦12 million naira) to cover the cost of the transplant surgery, hospital fees, medications, and post-op care. Every contribution — no matter how small — brings us one step closer to saving his life.
He’s given so much to his family and community throughout his career in public service. Now we are asking for your help to give him a second chance at life.
Alternatively, you can deposit directly into his account;
