I’m reaching out to ask for your support in helping a very special little boy named Olly Barker. Olly has a rare genetic condition called SYNGAP1, which has led to epilepsy, autism, learning disability and traits of cerebral palsy. He also has cilia dystrophyand is non-verbal, but despite all of these challenges, Olly is one of the happiest, most determined children you could ever meet.
There is no one who specialises in ollys condition in the uk which means we are struggling for olly to get the treatment he needs and deserves.when we found out about the clinical trials in Mexico with neurocytonix and saw that this treatment had also helped another child with the same condition as olly we couldn’t not at least try and get Olly on the same trials to give him the chance of becoming a more independant Olly.
We’re trying to raise £40,000 so Olly can travel to Mexico for a 28-day clinical trial, which could be life-changing. This treatment has the potential to improve his independence and help him achieve things that most children can take for granted — from simple communication to greater mobility and better health.
Olly dreams of being more like his older brothers, and this opportunity could bring him one step closer to that goal.
Your kindness could make a huge difference in helping Olly live a fuller, more independent life.
Thank you so much for your time, compassion, and support.
Warm regards, Leanne Neil and Olly
