Help Ollie Kenny Fight and Recover
Donation protected
On August 8th, little Ollie’s life took an unexpected and heartbreaking turn. What began as a battle with Influenza A quickly escalated into something much more severe. His tiny body fought as hard as it could, but within hours, Ollie suffered seizures and fell into a coma. By 3 AM the next morning, he was airlifted to Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane.
Once there, doctors delivered the devastating diagnosis: Ollie had developed Acute Necrotizing Encephalopathy of Childhood (ANEC), a rare and serious condition affecting his brain. Tragically, this illness has impacted the parts of his brain responsible for motor skills, changing his life forever.
For six weeks now, Ollie has been bravely fighting through intensive rehabilitation, including speech, occupational, and physiotherapy, as well as music therapy. Every week, he makes small but significant steps toward recovery, showing immense strength and courage. Though the road ahead is long and filled with uncertainty, Ollie continues to inspire everyone around him with his resilience.
Before this, Ollie was full of energy, laughter, and joy—always on the go and brightening the lives of those who knew him. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster for his family, but they remain hopeful and are determined to take it one day at a time.
As Ollie continues his recovery, the family is reaching out to the world for support. The mounting medical expenses, alongside the cost of therapies and ongoing care, are overwhelming. By contributing to Ollie’s GoFundMe campaign or sharing his story, you can help ease the financial burden on his family and ensure Ollie gets the best possible care on this long journey toward healing.
Your love, prayers, and support mean everything in this difficult time. Please help spread Ollie’s story and keep him in your thoughts as he fights his way back to health.
If you're able to, we humbly ask for any donations to help cover Ollie’s ongoing medical expenses and therapies. Every little bit helps as the Kenny Family navigate this challenging time. If a donation isn’t possible, we’d be so grateful if you could share Ollie’s story with your friends and family to help spread the word. Your support—whether through a contribution or simply sharing this post—means the world to us and will make a huge difference in Ollie’s recovery journey.
