Ollie’s journey is one of resilience. I found him in downtown Waco, tied together with six other dogs by their necks with electrical cords. An overwhelmed homeless man was doing his best to care for all seven, but the situation was heartbreaking. Ollie, the oldest of the group, was trying to protect his six family members, even though he was skin and bones and suffering from a fractured radius and ulna. Despite his pain, Ollie’s sweet and loving personality shone through, and he greeted me with a wagging tail.
Ollie's injuries are serious, and he needs surgery to repair his leg. The funds raised will go directly toward his medical care, giving him the chance to heal and, hopefully, save his leg.
The Waco Animal Advocacy Group (WAAG) is a non-profit rescue that has agreed to help with re-homing him after he recovers from surgery.
With proper treatment, Ollie can finally experience the comfort and safety he's always deserved. Every donation, no matter the size, will help Ollie take a step closer to a healthy, pain-free life. All funds will go towards his orthopedic surgery to repair his fractured leg.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart and Ollie’s heart for considering donating. It means the world to have others help and care for Ollie when he was overlooked for so long. Your kindness and support will give Ollie the second chance he so desperately needs.
