Please will you help this hardworking family? They have missed a lot of time off work since their daughter got sick:

Some of you may or may not know, but Olivia has been very sick and has recently been admitted into the hospital.

Her appendix has ruptured, and her body has formed an abscess on her appendix. Unfortunately, the abscess is in a location that the surgeons can’t reach because it’s covered up by organs. This means that they are unable to go in and drain the abscess to remove the appendix. This also means that it’s too risky to do surgery right now because she has all that infection just floating around her organs, causing them to still be tender and fragile. This, of course, is very painful for her, so we are still coping with pain management. The goal is to continue powerful antibiotics through IV to help fight the infection and give her body enough time to heal itself before we can proceed with surgery to remove the appendix.

Thankfully, Olivia’s body seems to be responding well to the antibiotics. She is finally perking up and starting to play some, and her sleeping patterns are starting to return to normal (she’s no longer sleeping for 90% of the day). She’s doing better with pain as long as she can tolerate pain meds, and she is finally starting to eat and drink more. This hopefully means we will be returning home soon to continue her antibiotics there with limited activity, of course. Once the infection is gone, we can proceed with the surgery to remove the appendix.

I had already missed so much work between both jobs, so we were getting a little worried about what the future holds. We had a little money saved up for emergencies, and then a week prior to Olivia getting sick, all of our appliances went out on us, so we had to spend our savings replacing/fixing those.

Please help us relieve some of the financial pressure during this difficult time.
