Anyone who meets Olivia is always quick to learn that her passion is dance. This past October, Olivia decided to try a new dance workshop that was in Saskatoon for the first time, the 1820 Dance Convention. She arrived not realizing that this experience would be different because it included an audition for the Canada National Dance Team through World Performers Canada (WPC). Olivia enjoyed every class, and was eager to spend her weekend learning from the talented instructors. We sat through the closing remarks, excitedly watching the WPC team invitations being handed out. Suddenly, they called #26 - Olivia had earned a spot to represent Team Canada at the Dance World Cup in Ireland, July 2026!

The Dance World Cup is the second largest international competition after the Olympics, with over 10,000 dancers from approximately 60 countries coming together to compete. Olivia is absolutely thrilled to be chosen for such an honor, and we invite you to be part of her journey! Every donation, share, and word of encouragement brings Olivia closer to her dream of performing on the world stage.

Olivia was introduced to ballet at the age of two and has been proudly training at Dancers Edge in Warman, Saskatchewan since 2017. Though her favorite style of dance is jazz, she also trains in tap, ballet, acro, lyrical, and modern. We will be forever grateful to our home studio Dancers Edge and their incredible staff for their endless support over the past 9 years. It takes a village to raise a dancer and we are proud to be part of a dance community that lifts each other up.

This amazing opportunity to honor Canada comes with tremendous commitment. Costs are estimated to be well over $10,000 and include choreography fees, costumes, flights, accommodations, meals, transportation and more. Olivia will be carrying all of you with her as she crosses the stage in Dublin this July, proudly wearing red and white for Canada as a Canadian national dance team member.
