Dear friends,

Our beloved Olivia Dunbar will soon be journeying with all her belongings to Syracuse, NY to pursue a Phd in English Literature and could use our help to cover relocation funds!

Bellingham-raised librarian, writer and friend, Olivia is one of the most brilliant, hardworking, generous and beautiful humans in our community! Though she would never bother bolsting about this, she was was one of just four who were granted admission to the program from a pool of 600 applicants, and is a recipient of the prestigious African American Studies fellowship for her interdisciplinary research. Her work is at the intersection of Indigenous and Black solidarities and I’m sure will plant many seeds of resistance that will ripple from East to West Coast!

Though this is a dream come true, and we're all beyond proud of her, in order to make this transition possible she needs ~$2,500 to help cover the costs of the move including movers, rental deposit, u-haul, food and accommodations along the journey from WA to NY.
