Help Olivia Receive Her Pre-Med Certification

Hi, my name is Kayla and I'm fundraising for my little sister Olivia's pre-med certification programme. This is a necessary requirement that will allow her to gain the real world experience she needs to continue her studies in the medical field at Ball State University.

Olivia has been working tirelessly from high-school through her first years of college to educate herself with the goal of eventually becoming a doctor.

Olivia's interest in the medical field started from our mother's struggle with stage 4 colon cancer back in 2017 when Olivia was just 15 years old. She showed exceptional understanding and skill when speaking with the doctors and helped to administer our mother's at-home treatments and care in between nurse and doctor visits. This experience sparked her interest in becoming a doctor, potentially within the field of Oncology. Her goal is to save lives by helping other's overcome cancer treatment.

Due to our mother's ongoing health problems, coupled with Olivia's fathers unexpected death from Covid-19 complications, Olivia has had to work extremely hard to put herself through school.

Olivia is currently working a multitude of jobs including as a Residence Assistant on campus, a Chinese Language Tutor, and Lifeguard and Swim Instructor. She is also a volunteer at her local church and participates in many extracurriculars at university. She is completing all of this alongside her demanding pre-med studies.

Olivia has received scholarships, honours awards and recognition for her studies at Ball State University. Our family has tried to support her the best we can but any additional support from extended friends and family would make the world of difference.

Olivia has requested that any small Christmas gifts be donated to her education fund this holiday season.
