Help Olivia Overcome Her 17th Surgery
Donation protected
It’s time again for Olivia to have yet another surgery.
Alecia has found a surgeon in Gainesville that is specifically trained for Olivia’s needs. It's her 17th surgery, and the 7th on her hand. The plan is to go in and remove some of the constricting bands that are on her hand that prohibit normal blood flow to her hand. They will also remove some of the bone on her finger that are growing because her bones are growing faster than her hand. Both will help ease the pain she feels. They will also try and straighten her fingers if possible. Blood flow, releasing the constricting bands, and straightening her finger will greatly help with the pain she feels on a daily basis, it could potentially help with less infection and it could help with fine motor skills.
Olivia will need to make at minimum 3 trips this summer to Gainesville for follow ups and surgery. As a single parent, Alecia is doing her best but could really use any help you’re able to give. Olivia is forever the optimist and shows all of us what true perseverance is.
