Help Olivia Get a New Pair of Lungs!!!

On May 5, 2025, our world was turned upside down when Olivia, just 30 years old and a non-smoker, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Mucinous Adenocarcinoma Non-small Cell Lung Cancer. Olivia's first treatment was an experimental immunotherapy trial at Yale New Haven. This trial showed some preliminary success with tumor shrinkage, but unfortunately, Olivia suffered an anaphylactic reaction and had to leave the trial. Olivia's second line chemo treatment resulted in an even more severe anaphylactic reaction, leaving Olivia with disease progression and no chemotherapy options.

We've had to do a pivot from the originally planned Chicago lung transplant trial to a program in Miami, but we are still headed toward a double lung transplant.

In order for Olivia to undergo this life-saving treatment, she and two caretakers, (her fiancé Luke, and her mom Corinne) will have to move to Miami for one year for the transplant operation and the extensive rehabilitation needed to recover from this complicated surgery.
