My name is Olivia and I am the MESA coach/coordinator for a Title 1 school in Glen Burnie. MESA is all about STEM and creativity. Recently, I had the opportunity to take my students on a hands-on field trip where they got to experience and use a lot of STEM equipment they had previously never had the opportunity to use. One of their most favorite activities was using the Ozobots. I heard my students say, “I wish we had these at MESA.” probably a dozen times. Since leaving the field trip, all they have talked about is how cool those tiny robots were and how much they wish they could use them again. Unfortunately, I don’t have any funds nor the funding to purchase any of those little robots for our club. I would love to surprise my little engineers with a set of their own to use at our club and some of the accessories to really help build their coding and engineering knowledge.
