Help Olivia and Family Through Chemo Journey
Donation protected
Our niece, Olivia, was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL) in early December of 2024. Thankfully, her pediatrician caught it early, and her first month of intensive chemo has put her in remission status.
We are all so grateful for this news; however, Olivia and parents, Nate and Bobbie, still have a long road ahead. Olivia has to undergo 8 more months of intensive chemo followed by two years of lower dose maintenance chemo for the best outcome. During this initial intensive treatment period, she is unable to return to school or gather in crowds due to increased susceptibility to infection.
As Bobbie works in the school system, she has had to leave work for the remainder of the school year to decrease Olivia's potential for exposure to germs that are prevalent in schools. This fundraiser aims to help bridge the gap for Bobbie's lost wages and provide a small additional amount towards gas for Olivia's doctor visits or other incidentals.
I know few people who work harder than Nate and Bobbie, and they much prefer to be the ones helping others with anything they are able. Olivia has some awesome parents, so it's not hard to see how she got to be so great. At thirteen, she is approaching this unexpected turn with wit, strength and her characteristic sass. I'm pleased to have my little Rosie looking up to such an amazing kid.
If you are able to help them in this trying time, it would be greatly appreciated!
