Hi, I'm Olivia. I'm a 29 year old trans woman in the UK.
I've been on HRT for about 5 years, and while it has helped massively and vastly improved my quality of life there are a number of parts of my face which still look very masculine and often cause me a lot of dysphoria (For example my high and square hairline, my brow, and my large nose).
I am raising funds to try to get these issues fixed via surgery, as it's something that regularly causes me a lot of anxiety, and severely limits my confidence and ability to go out into public.
Unfortunately the UK's gender clinics do not offer procedures such as facial feminisation (Unlike many nationalised health services in Europe). Medical insurers in the UK also do not provide coverage for any transition related surgeries, unlike many insurance providers in the US or EU.
As I am disabled and have been unable to find paid employment I have little in savings and very limited income, and can't afford to pay out of pocket for private healthcare on my own, or rely on loans or finance. This is likely the only way I'll be able to afford the surgery I need within the next decade.
Any funds will be put toward surgery and travel.
Anything you can give is greatly appreciated!
