Help Olive's Recovery: Medical Care

This little dog, who we've now named Olive, was found in a snow bank this morning literally on the verge of death! She is skin and bones, blood sugars were only 29, her body temp so low it didn't even register on the thermometer! Pound Buddies immediately started warming her while we contacted one of our vets, Clarke Animal Hospital. After IV fluids, blood work, bringing her body temp up and getting food in her, this resilient little girl is stable and actually standing up on her own.

Our little Olive is now out of the hospital and in her new foster home. She is quite the fighter and we are optimistic that she will continue to make progress. She is on a special feeding schedule. She is enjoying a warm home and lots of TLC. She may need follow up blood work in the next few weeks but if all goes well, she will be available for adoption next month. 

This fundraiser is to help cover her medical/vet bills currently.
