Help cover costs of Oliver’s spine surgery
On Wednesday, June 23rd Marta's dog Oliver suffered a severe spinal cord injury that was caused by a fracture between his 9th and 10th thoracic vertebrae. Unfortunately this injury led to paralysis of Oliver's back legs. Oliver underwent a surgery, which stabilized the affected site and it alleviated compression of the spinal cord. Unfortunately Oliver's chances of walking again are very low, but Marta is working very hard to rehabilitate him and get him use to his new way of life.
The procedure saved Oliver's life, but with surgeries come expenses, that is why I started this page for my sister. Marta is the best dog mom out there, and any sort of help is truly appreciated. Marta is a travel nurse and is currently in Oregon, which is very far from home. Her contract is in a small town, so she has to drive 3 hours to the vet where he had his surgery for follow up appointments, and 1.5 hours to physical therapy.
So far Oliver is doing great after surgery. The biggest challenge has been expressing his bladder, but with time we are hoping it will get easier.
