Meet Oliver—a sweet, resilient pup with a heart full of hope and legs that desperately need help.
Oliver and his brother Oscar were found abandoned in a heartbreaking state when they were just 8 weeks old—severely malnourished, frail, and unable to walk properly due to significant leg deformities. A kind-hearted Good Samaritan rushed them to a veterinary clinic and later they were brought to a partner shelter.
At first, we weren’t sure they would survive.
But Oliver and Oscar proved to be fighters. With around-the-clock care, quality nutrition, and unwavering love from the shelter staff, they slowly began to recover. As they gained weight and strength, they were vaccinated, neutered, and began to enjoy a life every puppy deserves. Today, they’re full of personality, mischief, and joy—but their journey isn’t over.
While Oscar's leg deformities are manageable and don’t significantly limit his mobility, Oliver’s are much more severe. Walking is painful, and without intervention, his condition will worsen as he ages. Despite daily water therapy and love from his foster mom, Oliver's future is uncertain.
That's where you come in.
Oliver is under the care of Dr. Pinel at Petzioc Veterinary Hospital in Calgary, Alberta, a specialist in orthopedic surgery. After extensive evaluations, Dr. Pinel believes that surgery can give Oliver the chance to walk, play, and live a full life—something we never imagined was possible.
The cost of Oliver’s surgery is estimated at $13,000. This includes:
A CT scan to produce detailed measurements
The creation of a custom 3D-printed surgical guide
The orthopedic surgery itself, which will realign his bones and give him a future filled with mobility and comfort
For a small rescue like ours, this is a daunting amount. But for Oliver, it means everything.
We are reaching out with full hearts and open hands to ask for your support. Every dollar brings Oliver closer to walking pain-free. Every share of this fundraiser brings us closer to our goal. And every act of kindness makes a world of difference for this brave little soul.
Please consider donating, sharing, and cheering Oliver on as he fights for his chance to walk, run, and thrive.
From all of us—and especially from Oliver—thank you for believing in second chances.
