Help Oliver Walk Again: Emergency Surgery Fund

Today, I reach out with a heavy heart and a plea for help on behalf of my beloved dog, Oliver. This morning, Oliver underwent emergency back surgery to correct a herniated disc that was compressing his spine, leading to paralysis in his back two legs. This condition came on suddenly, leaving me with little time to prepare or consider alternatives -- time is of the essence when it comes to this disease. The surgery, while hopeful to restore his mobility and free him from pain, has placed financial strain on me.

Oliver is more than just a pet; he's a family member, a constant companion, and a source of joy and unconditional love in my life. Watching him struggle with paralysis was heartbreaking, but thanks to the quick action of our veterinary team, there's hope he will walk again. However, the cost of this life-saving surgery is $11,000, a staggering amount that has added to the financial strain I'm already under from his previous surgery last May.

Despite having pet insurance, I'm faced with a significant shortfall. My policy covered $5,000 of the surgery cost, but because Oliver now has a pre-existing condition, the insurance company would not raise my coverage after his last surgery. As a result, I'm left with a bill I simply cannot afford, still paying off his previous medical expenses.
