We are reaching out to you today with an urgent plea to help a sweet cat named Hiro, now Oliver, who desperately needs life-saving surgery. Oliver came into the care of Kitten Kornher Rescue after living a rough life on the streets for about three years. This resilient fighter had recently been attacked by another animal, which left him in dire need of medical attention. Thanks to the incredible support of Pack of Lyfe Dog Rescue, his initial vet bills were covered, and Oliver began his journey to recovery. Once stabilized, Oliver was brought to Kitten Kornher Rescue where he received the loving care he needed to regain his strength and find a forever home. It wasn't long before a wonderful couple, Holly and Andrew, fell in love with him and welcomed him into their home. However, just a few days after his adoption, Oliver started experiencing severe diarrhea. Concerned for their new family member, Holly and Andrew rushed him to the vet. The diagnosis was heartbreaking: Oliver has a tear in his diaphragm, a condition that requires urgent and complex surgery to repair. His intestines have moved their way through a hole in the diaphragm and are now surrounding his heart. Without this surgery, his condition will continue to deteriorate. The estimated cost for his surgery is between $6,000 and $8,000. As you can imagine, this is a significant financial burden for Holly and Andrew, who have already opened their hearts and home to a cat in desperate need.
