Hi everyone,
We’re writing this on behalf of our grandson Oliver Blomberg, a 16-year-old Freeski talent from Falun, Sweden. Oliver has been skiing since he could walk — and now, he’s aiming for the Freeski Junior World Championships 2026 in Calgary, Canada!
Representing Sweden on this stage is a dream come true for him. But to make it happen, we need a bit of help to support him during his season leading up to the Junior World Champinonship.
Oliver will compete in the national series and the FIS EuropaCup leading up to the Junior World Champingships and the total cost for flights, lodging, equipment, and fees is around 65,000–120,000 SEK (~$6,000–$11,000 USD).
What makes Oliver’s story even more inspiring is that he’s achieving all this while managing Type 1 diabetes. Balancing training, blood sugar levels, and high-level competition isn’t easy — but his determination and positive energy never waver. Oliver was also accepted to the national academy for freeskiing as one of only three students this year, in very tough competition.
He’s competed at international events, earning strong results and building a name for himself in the freeski world. You can follow his journey on instagram:
— his tricks, style, and attitude on the snow speak for themselves.
Every contribution, big or small, brings Oliver one step closer to his dream of representing Sweden on the world stage. ❤️
Thank you for helping us make this possible — we couldn’t be prouder of him.
Warm regards,
Anita & Bengt Blomberg
