My name is Oliver and this gofundme is a last resort in hopes of finishing my degree this coming school year. I have one more year left at UNCA to complete my degree in political science and human rights but am barred from registering for courses until a past due balance is paid on my account. During my sophomore year of college my FAFSA was flagged and later denied due to issues out of my control. Sadly, my parents are not in the financial position to assist me with meeting this goal. I am living off my own finances, which means taking on the burden of another loan or payment plan is not realistic at this time.

I have only two more semesters left and with FAFSA covering my senior year expenses I feel so close to finally reaching my goal of graduating. I have a deep passion for what I am studying and hope to one day use my degree to help marginalized folk in ways of legal advocacy, social work, and community organizing.

Growing up in poverty has made me no stranger to the hardships of money or more specifically the lack thereof. But, I am coming to you as an individual who is overflowing with love and appreciation for my community asking for any help you may have to offer me in this difficult situation.
