My name is Eddie, and I am reaching out with a humble request for help for my younger brother Oliver, who recently celebrated his 44th birthday.

Many of you know Oliver as a kind, loving, and respectful person, and above all, a devoted father who deeply cares for his children and family. He has always been someone who shows up for others with generosity, compassion, and a warm heart.

Over the past few years, Oliver has shown incredible strength and resilience in rebuilding his life. He worked hard to overcome some of the toughest challenges he has ever faced and is now approaching three years of living a healthier and more stable life. During this time he has been working as an apartment manager, doing his best to build a better future for himself and his family.

Unfortunately, Oliver’s journey has taken an unexpected and difficult turn.

Recently, he began experiencing severe and persistent back pain. After several medical examinations, doctors discovered a tumor near his spine, and further evaluation suggests lymphoma. Because of the location of the spinal tumor, Oliver is currently experiencing tremendous pain and requires urgent medical care.

After consulting with specialists, we have been advised to seek further evaluation and treatment in India, where hospitals have extensive experience managing complex spinal and lymphoma-related conditions.

Doctors in India have recommended reevaluation and staging tests, including advanced imaging such as a PET CT scan and other examinations, before determining the exact treatment plan.

The initial evaluation alone is estimated to cost $1,500–$2,000, and depending on the findings, the total treatment cost may range between $10,000–$15,000.

As a family, we have already come together and raised $3,000, which will help cover Oliver’s travel to India and the initial evaluation costs. However, the remaining medical treatment will still be far beyond what we can manage on our own.

This is why we are turning to our community for help.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference in helping Oliver receive the urgent medical treatment he needs.

Despite everything he is going through, Oliver continues to remain strong, hopeful, and deeply faithful. Just recently he shared something that touched our hearts. He said he sees this moment in his life like a diamond going through fire — because before a diamond shines, it must first be refined through intense pressure. Oliver believes that this is simply another stage in preparing him for what God has planned for his life.

We are holding onto that hope and doing everything we can to help him reach the care he needs.
