On a day that started like any other, disaster struck when 65 mph winds swept through our area. My 1-year-old baby horse, Olive, was caught in the chaos when her hay hut was lifted by the wind—with her still attached. The force carried her hundreds of feet across her pasture. When her barn owner found her, both her head and legs were trapped in the hay hut. She had suffered a severe neck injury, a leg injury, and was cut up all over. It was a terrifying sight, and we rushed her to the Critical Care Unit where she is now fighting to recover.

The immediate funds raised will go directly toward Olive’s vet bills and her stay in the critical care unit. Any extra support will help with her long-term recovery. Olive is a beloved part of my life, and I am doing everything I can to give her the best chance at healing and returning to her happy, healthy self.
