Help Olga Rebuild After Apartment Fire

One of my students, Olga Venegas, lost everything in an apartment fire this past week. Olga is a hardworking student and mother who comes to Saturday English classes despite working overnight shifts at a local factory in Greenville, SC. She comes to class running on 3-4 hours of sleep because she is dedicated to learning English for the same reasons that all of my other students do - to obtain better jobs, to have access to better opportunities, and to create a better life for themselves and their families.

Unfortunately, Olga's apartment insurance is not going to cover any expenses, and while they have secured temporary housing, her family has lost everything – from furniture and clothing to personal belongings that cannot be replaced. This is an incredibly difficult time for them, and they need our help to get back on their feet.

I have set up this GoFundMe to raise $2,000 to assist with their immediate needs, including:

Replacing clothing, toiletries, and other essential items

Temporary housing and living expenses

Food and transportation
