Olga has always shown up to take care of others. Now she’s the one who needs help.

Last year, her partner Ryan suffered a life-threatening crisis that required emergency surgery and a long, difficult recovery. Olga had to stop working to be his full-time caregiver. With no steady income between them, they went nearly a year scraping by on almost nothing.

Ryan pulled through, facing lifelong impacts. Then, as they were finally back to work and starting to find their footing, Olga was diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer. She’s now undergoing chemotherapy, with surgery and more treatment still to come. Complications, including blood clots in her lungs, have made the road rougher.

Between medical appointments, ER visits, and side effects, she can't take on many hours at her tutoring and retail jobs. Right now, her focus needs to be on healing and holding everything together.

Olga has no family here in the U.S. She’s had to rely solely on herself and Ryan to get through each crisis. From caregiving to work to cancer treatment, she’s been carrying it all on her own while still trying to care for their home and beloved rescue cats they’ve taken in over the years.

They’ve long since cut all non-essential expenses, postponed car repairs and vet visits, and taken on debt to cover urgent needs. This fundraiser will help the household cover:
