Hi, my name is Nicole and a few of us wanted to start a fundraiser for our dear friend Olena. Her parents, Grisha and Larissa who currently live in the Ukraine have COVID. Olena adores both her parents but unfortunately she cannot be with them. Olena checks in with her family everyday. Her father is not doing well. Her brother has been able to procure some medicine from Belgium, but it is very expensive. Although the Ukraine has a healthcare system that is supposedly free of charge to all its citizens, it only covers basic care and patients often must pay for special equipment, medicines and procedures. Olena's friends want to help her anyway we can and one way is to provide funds that she can use towards her parents' hospital costs and/or travel costs to the Ukraine if she must make a sudden trip there.
