Hello everyone,

We are Kanishev family. Just like the title states, the goal of this fundraiser is to raise money for Oleg so he can cover the out-of-pocket medical expenses involved in resolving and reversing his suddenly deteriorating vision (The state-provided insurance does not cover a lot of the medical expenses.)

Back in March of this year, Oleg was forced to flee from overseas due to the current situation. While fleeing, he endured very intense moments and hardships. So intense-that at one point, he was certain that he was going to lose his life.

Thankfully, Oleg eventually made it to Spokane where he is now residing. With the help of close friends, he’s able to slowly start his life here. Unfortunately, about a month ago, he started getting blurred vision. It got so bad that he’s unable to focus or see much. His right eye is able to see only 10% and left is at 40% according to the most recent check up. As of recent, he’s had some scans done and has been seen by an optometrist and many other doctors. With the help of several doctors, they were able to determine that Oleg is suffering vision loss due to nerve damage resulting from extreme stress (or at least that’s what they are assuming).

In the next month, he has an appointment scheduled in Seattle to see a professional. In the mean time, he’s been seeing a massage therapist to work on relieving some of the stress and other specialists to help understand what is going on.

Fortunately, Oleg has been staying very positive and relying on God and everyone’s prayers to be able to get back his normal vision.

With having to travel to Seattle along with all of the other appointments he’s had, it’s difficult to cover everything out of pocket-especially since he’s unable to work and the medical insurance that he does have doest cover a lot of the medical expenses.

We ask that you keep him in your prayers and if you’re able to, provide financial assistance that will go towards covering the medical expenses.
