My name is Amy and I am the oldest of 6 girls. I am 20 years old and my sisters are 18, 13, 12, 9, and 8. I am raising money because my sisters have been through more than any child should ever have to go through in a life time and I want to be able to give them the best Christmas ever. Unfortunately our mom has been struggling with alcoholism for some time now. In September of last year while experiencing withdrawal symptoms she had a seizure in front of my little sisters and was in the hospital for multiple days. Then last year on Christmas Day under similar circumstances, while we were opening gifts Christmas morning she had a seizure and went into cardiac arrest. Me and my younger sisters spent Christmas together while my dad stayed with my mom in the hospital. My mom was sober for 6 months and all was well until recently. Unfortunately my mom has left the household for several weeks now and me and my 18 year old sister are doing our best to help my dad take care of the younger ones. We are hoping that she returns as the amazing sober mother we know she can be. This year has been a traumatic one for all of us. There is nothing I can do to make up for this past year but I want to make sure that my little sisters have the best Christmas ever because they deserve it more than anyone I know. In June my dad was hit by a forklift and he has been out of work since then. I would like to surprise my dad by giving my little sisters the amazing Christmas that they deserve and that we cannot afford to give them. If you could help me in any way that would be greatly appreciated. I will make sure that any extra money goes towards nothing but the happiness and well being of my little sisters. I would like to be able to take them to Disney World some day very soon so if there is some how enough extra money I will make sure that happens.
