Hi, my name is Lisa Kucala, and my father, Larry Gleason (aka Old Gypsy) had a moderately severe stroke while vacationing in Texas on November 4, 2022. Thank you to all that helped us financially so we could bring him home to Minnesota to help with his recovery.  It was a tremendous help as the medical transport did end up being over $21,000 which was not covered by insurance, which would have been very challenging to do with out so much support from friends, family, and the gymnastics community.

We arrived back home via an Air Medical flight and he was safely transported to Courage Kenny Institute at United Hospital in St. Paul, MN, where he will begin the next phases of recovery. 

We do expect recovery will be a long process, and will continue to use any funds left after paying for the medical transport for additional medical costs that are not covered by insurance, which are already adding up. So far what lies ahead is very much of an unknown at this point, so we truely do appreciate your support.

We also appreciate all of the kind words, thoughts, and healing prayers that everyone continues to send. Now that he is Minnesota, I hope that dad will also have a chance to see some of your smiling faces soon as well!
