Olaf’s journey began in a lonely field, where someone spotted him hobbling and struggling to walk. When we went to find him, we discovered a young dog, emaciated and covered in scars, with wounds that told a story of hardship and survival. He could barely walk, and it was clear he wouldn’t make it on his own. We brought him home, knowing we had to do something to help.

At the vet, we learned that Olaf is probably only about a year old. Despite everything he’s been through, he still has a gentle spirit and a will to live. The doctor believes his back legs aren’t working right because of old, untreated injuries. With the right care—x-rays, neuter, and vaccines—Olaf has a real chance at a happy, healthy life. The vet is hopeful that with treatment, Olaf can thrive and eventually find a loving forever family.

We can’t leave Olaf in pain or let him miss out on the life he deserves. The costs for his care are more than we can manage alone, but we believe in giving him every chance.
