My name is Olachi, and I am a final year Nigerian nursing student living in San Fernando, La Union, Philippines. Recently, a powerful typhoon struck our area while I was at school, causing severe damage to my apartment and leaving me in a very difficult situation. When I returned, I found that my ceiling had collapsed, my light bulbs and fan were destroyed, and my laptop, mattress, and carpets were all soaked and ruined by flooding. Unfortunately, my landlord is unable to help with repairs, and I do not have insurance to cover these losses.
Classes have been cancelled due to the typhoon, and I am still living in the damaged apartment because I have nowhere else to go. My friends nearby are also affected and unable to offer support, so I am facing this challenge on my own. The most urgent needs right now are to replace my essential belongings and, if possible, find a safe place to stay temporarily while I recover and rebuild.
Any support will go directly toward replacing my damaged items, securing temporary accommodation, and helping me get back on my feet so I can continue my studies and daily life. Your kindness will make a real difference during this difficult time, and I am deeply grateful for any help you can provide.
