I adopted Ola when my 93-year-old father came to live with me after my mother died. I had to work during the day and wanted him to have a companion, especially because he was nearly deaf and legally blind. He and Ola had a wonderful relationship until he passed away in 2018, and Ola has been my faithful companion ever since. I live alone, but my daughter, grandchildren, and son live nearby and adore her. I walk her twice a day, averaging about 2.5 to 3 miles, often in a beautiful woodland park and lagoon. Ola is well known and loved among many dog walkers there, bringing happiness to those who see her. She receives daily comments about how cute and friendly she is. Ola is in excellent health for her age, and her regular vet, Dr. Nicola Mohr, always remarks on it. Ola had her teeth cleaned in April, and Dr. Mohr said she had never seen a dog who didn’t need an extraction. Dr. Harlow, in internal medicine, said she was pristine. Ola has lots of energy, runs with favorite dogs, and loves to play tug of war every time I come home. I love her with all my heart.

Thank you so much for considering supporting Ola’s treatment. Ola was recently diagnosed with a trigeminal nerve sheath tumor that is likely a sarcoma. After consultations with her veterinary specialists, stereotactic radiation therapy has been recommended as the best option to give her more quality time and comfort. Aside from this diagnosis, Ola is otherwise very healthy, happy, and full of life. Her care team believes this treatment could potentially give her a couple more good years with a strong quality of life. The cost of treatment is far beyond what I can afford on my own, and every donation will go directly toward Ola’s radiation therapy and related medical care.
