Help 'ohana who lost everything in Maui wildfire

Donation protected
We're asking help for our dear friend, Tatiana, and her mom, dad, and Tutu, who have faced the unimaginable. We have known Tatiana for 6 years through our church where she uses her gifts volunteering on the worship team as well teaching Hawaiiana classes.

On the evening of August 8th they were displaced from their home that was completely destroyed in the Lahaina, Maui wildfire. They lost everything they owned except the clothes on their backs along with Tatianas car that she drove through thick black smoke to make it to safety. The home they lost was built by Tatiana’s great grandpa with generations of family belongings and memories in the house.

Lahaina had gale force winds all day on Tuesday caused by Hurricane Dora traveling south of the islands of Hawaii. The entire area lost power Tuesday morning as power lines went down. Shortly after, the fire ignited just above Tatiana’s neighborhood and spread quickly, giving them only minutes to evacuate.

The impact has been staggering. Hundreds of families’ homes have been destroyed. Churches, an elementary school, and all of the historic Lahaina Front Street is burned to the ground.

We are so thankful that Tatiana, her mom, dad, and Tutu are safe and made it out with no injuries. During this time they need the monetary support to rebuild what they have lost.

We're reaching out to our community and beyond to ask for your support in helping them rebuild their lives. Your contribution, no matter its size, makes a difference. All funds will go directly to the family to help with housing, food, clothing, shoes, toiletries, household items and any other necessary items they need to rebuild their lives. Any extra funds will go towards purchasing a car for tutu as hers was lost in the fire.

As we rally together, we're reminded that even in times of darkness, our collective light of compassion shines through. Please consider donating and sharing this call for help far and wide. Let us come together, demonstrating the strength of ‘ohana and the resilience of the human spirit.
